One of the best things about sports is the many opportunities it affords for important life lessons to be learned. Porter Basketball Academy is a program that offers high-level basketball skills training, but also embraces the reality that life is MORE! We create an environment where you can be challenged and stretched along with being known and valued!

- Originally from Hattiesburg, MS
- Played collegiately at University of New Orleans
- Played 5 seasons for Athletes in Action
- Mizzou Women's Basketball assistant coach 2010-2016
- Univ. of Washington Men's Basketball assistant coach 2016-2017
- Mizzou Men's Basketball assistant coach 2017-2020
- Michael and his wife Lisa have eight children: Bri, Cierra, Michael Jr., Jontay, Coban, Jevon, Izaak, and Jayda
- Bri, Cierra, Michael Jr., and Jontay all played at Mizzou
- Coban plays at University of Denver, and Jevon plays at Pepperdine University
- Izaak graduated from Tolton Catholic HS and will be attending Link Year Academy in Branson MO
- Jayda is a rising sophomore and plays at Rock Bridge High School

- Originally from St. Louis (attended MICDS)
- After a stellar career, was inducted in 2022 to the MICDS boys basketball Hall of Fame
- Graduated from Mizzou with a dual emphasis finance degree (Commercial Banking and Real Estate)
- Coaching career began in 2014 as a Mizzou Women's Basketball graduate assistant
- Earned a Master's Degree from Mizzou in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership
- Alabama-Birmingham Women's Basketball assistant coach 2016-2018
- Saint Louis University Women's Basketball assistant coach 2018-2020
- Mizzou Women's Basketball Video Coordinator 2021-2022
- Married to Morgan (Eye) Scott, the deadliest and most prolific 3 point shooter in the history of Mizzou Women's basketball

The Staff—Christian O'Shita
- Originally from the Los Angeles area (Bishop Montgomery HS)
- Finished second on the all-time scoring list during his three seasons at University of California San Diego
- Earned a degree in Cognitive and Behavioral neuroscience (nerd)
- Enjoyed a flourishing professional basketball career in Europe
- Christian specializes in shooting mechanics, defense, footwork, and efficient space creation translatable to game situations
- as trained players ranging from developmental youth, high school, NCAA, athletes, and seasoned pros
